Fastest Proven Way to Remove Under Eye Bags Without Eye Creams Or Surgery.

I spent 15 years covering up dark circles as a dermatologist until I finally found what actually works.

Yes, believe it or not this was me. Left is summer of 2025, right is today January 10th 2026.

So here's a thing. For over a decade, I was a dermatologist who couldn't fix her own face. Sad I know, and trust me it bothered me to my core.

Every morning, I'd wake up, shuffle to the bathroom, and there they were. The bags. The shadows. These ugly f****ing Gucci bags that made me look exhausted even after eight hours of sleep. I'd spend 20 minutes, sometimes 30, layering concealer, color corrector, setting powder. Building a mask just to feel presentable enough to see my own patients.

The irony wasn't lost on me. Here I was, someone women trusted to help with their skin concerns, and I couldn't even look at my own reflection without seeing my racoon eyes starring back at me.

"You look tired today, Dr. Chen."

If I had a dollar for every time I heard that. From colleagues. From patients. From my own mother.

I wasn't tired. I was tired of this.

When It Finally Hit Me

It started with little things. I'd catch my husband looking at me and wonder what he was actually seeing. I could tell he wasn't looking at me the same. I'd catch him looking at the server or glancing at a younger woman at the grocery store and it really bothered me. I stopped wanting to be intimate with the lights on. I'd turn away when he tried to look at my face up close or try to kiss me sometimes.

One night he reached over to kiss me and I instinctively pulled back. He asked what was wrong and I didn't know how to explain it. How do you tell your husband that you don't feel attractive anymore? That you look in the mirror and don't recognize the woman looking back? And that it's ruining your self confidence and affecting your whole womanhood.

He still told me I was beautiful. But I didn't believe him. I felt like he was just saying it because he had to. The bags made me look tired, older, like I'd aged ten years overnight. I stopped making eye contact during conversations. I started wearing glasses more often just to hide behind them.

My self-esteem was shot. And the worst part? I knew it was affecting our relationship. I was pulling away because I didn't feel desirable. I didn't feel like me. I wasn't my sexy self anymore, and it started to affect other parts my of my life like my fitness and my selfcare. I stopped going to the gym, getting my hair done, and taking care of my skin because what's the point. I felt defeated.

My bags kept getting worse with time. "It's genetic," my mother always said, like that made it okay. Like I was supposed to just accept looking exhausted for the rest of my life and watch my self-esteem wither away before my eyes.

I'd tried everything. Retinol creams that promised miracles and delivered irritation. Caffeine serums that did nothing. Vitamin C that oxidized before I finished the bottle. Eye patches that felt like a spa day but looked the same the next morning. Even fillers, twice. The first time gave me lumps. The second time, the results faded within months.

I was 42 years old, and I'd spent roughly $23,000 on my under-eyes over my lifetime. That number still makes me nauseous.

Until one day I decided enough was enough and it was time I actually did something about this. I just couldn't take it anymore. It was me or these bags, and I was not going down without putting up hell of a fight.

Deep down I knew there must be a real solution to this and if I become truly obsessed with finding a solution, I might be able to figure it out once and for all even if takes me decades. I just needed a proper solution, and I wasn't going to stop until I find one.

The Research That Changed My Perspective

I spent months researching like a mad scientist. Sleepless nights that added to my undereye bags and my stress and non stop experimenting with different compounds and blends. Until one day at a dermatology conference in Seoul where it finally hit me.

I was presenting on wound healing when I ran into Dr. Yuki Tanaka, a researcher I'd collaborated with years ago. Over dinner, she mentioned something that made me set down my chopsticks.

"Sarah, have you been following the PDRN research out of Japan?"

I hadn't. I'd dismissed PDRN as just another ingredient trend. But Yuki explained that Japanese researchers had been studying something different, not just isolated ingredients, but how certain compounds work together specifically in the delicate under-eye area. I rushed home like a maniac that night, and I started to look into it closely. And low and behold Yuki was right. I couldn't believe my eyes. it was almost too good to be true, so I had to make sure for myself.

I packed my bags and flew to Japan the next morning. I spent the next few months testing different peptide combinations and the results were beyond promising to say the least. This is it! It was all there, the proof I've been searching for this whole time.

What the Japanese studies found:

PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) — DNA-derived compound that activates A2A receptors, promoting tissue repair and reducing the inflammatory markers that contribute to dark circles. One clinical study showed doubled healing rates in the under-eye area.

NAD+ Precursors — Cellular energy compounds that decline 50% between ages 20-50. Japanese researchers found that topical NAD+ support helped restore the thin under-eye skin's ability to repair itself.

Copper Tripeptide (GHK-Cu) — In a 12-week periorbital RCT, outperformed vitamin K for improving skin density and reducing visible shadows.

But the part that really stuck with me: the studies showed that most topical products fail not because the ingredients don't work, but because they never actually reach the tissue. Less than 3% of what you apply to your under-eyes actually penetrates to where the damage is happening.

The Japanese researchers had been testing micro-infusion delivery tiny channels that allow actives to reach the deeper layers where bags and shadows actually form.

I flew home with three research papers in my bag and actually felt optimistic for the first time in a while.

The Formulation Process

Over the next eight months, I worked with Yuki and two other colleagues Dr. James Liu in Vancouver and Dr. Priya Sharma in London to develop a formulation based on these Japanese findings. We weren't trying to create a miracle product. We were trying to create something that actually worked.

The key insight was combining three approaches:

  • Targeted Actives — PDRN, NAD+, and copper peptides at clinically-studied concentrations, not the trace amounts most brands use for label appeal.
  • Delivery Method — Micro-infusion technology that creates temporary channels for 30x better absorption than surface application.
  • Multi-Pathway Approach — Addressing circulation, inflammation, AND collagen support simultaneously, not just one factor.
  • Under-Eye Specific — Formulated specifically for the thin, delicate periorbital skin, not a face cream repurposed for eyes.

I was my own first test subject. For the first two weeks, I noticed nothing, which I expected. Real tissue remodeling takes time.

Week three, my husband noticed something.

"Sarah... did you sleep well? You look different."

By week six, I stopped reaching for concealer on weekends. By week eight, I let my daughter take a photo of us at the park without positioning myself in favorable lighting first.

I looked in the mirror and just saw me. Not the tired version. Not the "good for her age" version. Just me.

What My Patients Experienced

Once I saw results on myself, I began recommending the formulation to patients who had the same frustrations I'd had. The ones who'd tried every eye cream under the sun. The ones who were considering fillers but were scared of lumps and migration. The ones who just wanted to stop looking exhausted and reclaim their beauty.

But there was one tiny problem. Where do my patients even get this micro-infusion system and formula from? This whole time I was using my own formula and micro-infusion that I frankensteined at my clinic. Which wasn't a viable solution for my patients.

So back to the drawing board we go. But this time my goal was to find a proper system with adequate dosages of every compound in order to ensure efficacy. And after weeks of rigorous and relentless research I found the exact one I was looking for. I even requested their formula's certificate of analysis and liquid chromatography to ensure quality, and it all checked out perfectly. I was stunned.

So I stopped using my "homemade" formula and completely switched to them, and believe it or not my under eye bags were improving at a much faster rate than they were before when I was using my own homemade formula and system. If I had to guess, I would credit that  to a much more complex formulation and sterilization process given it was done at a legitimate laboratory, which yielded a much more potent formula, due to effectively a much lesser oxidization rate in a contained environment than my clinic.

I want to be clear: this isn't magic. Some patients saw dramatic improvement; others saw moderate improvement. But it actually worked, it really did and that's all that mattered.

And more importantly for most women dealing with puffiness, shadows, and that perpetually tired look? The results have been consistent enough that I now recommend it over any cream out there and before considering invasive options.

The overwhelming results were constantly followed by the sweetest texts which made it all worth it and brought me so much joy. This accomplishment has been truly lifechanging, and I couldn't be more thankful.

"Dr. Chen!!!! I can't believe it. My dark circles have been genetic since I was a toddler. I'm 34 now and had basically accepted I'd always look tired. After about 6 weeks, my sister asked if I'd gotten filler. I can't believe this I'm in literal tears as I'm sending you this thank you!!!"

"I just wanted to let you know that you're the best truly. I'm so grateful I found you dr and I know this sounds shallow but my bags really affected my confidence, especially dating. It's been 2 years I've been dreading going on dates because I didn't feel beautiful and you fixed that. Words can't explain how grateful I am dr!"

"It's been 3 weeks I've been using the MI system and girl let me tell you my bags are FULLY gone. I don't even get morning puffiness. I finally feel like I look as rested as I actually am and I feel so good. I feel like like my 20 year old self again I swear haha"

So Where Does That Leave You?

Now ladies if you're reading this, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about. The constant checking in mirrors. The photo angles. The way you automatically look at your under-eyes first in every picture. That little sinking feeling when someone says "you look tired" when you're not.

I dealt with that for 15 years and it almost ruined my marriage and my life as a whole. And I want you to know, you don't have to.

This isn't about vanity. It's about not feeling like you need to hide. It's about looking in the mirror and seeing your beautiful face. Feeling sexy again, feeling young and beautiful. It's about your partner seeing the real you, not the exhausted version that your under-eyes have been projecting. Enjoying your beauty and not getting enough of you.

The research is there now. We solved under-eye bags like I thought we would. The Japanese studies changed how I think about what's actually possible. And I've seen it work on myself and on my patients.

If you've been looking for something that actually addresses the root causes such as circulation, inflammation, collagen loss without needles or downtime or hormones...

This is for you.
